October Half Term
Autumn Half Term at the Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture
Feel the ‘Hwyl’ this Half Term at the Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture!

We’re ending the 2025 season with a week of Hwyl (joy) in partnership with the Welsh Museums Festival celebrating creativity, transformation, and a warm Croeso for all.
Launching Saturday 25 October, we’ll kick things off with tarot readings (pay by donation) from Sean Young of The Shaman’s Horse, alongside a mask-making workshop. Throughout the week, families can try their hand at spooky crafts inspired by Calan Gaeaf, the traditional Welsh harvest festival.
- Paint a pebble for Coelcerth
- Make a Caseg Fedi (Harvest Mare) as a surprise for your family
- Don a creepy costume to scare away the spirits — but watch out for Hwch Ddu Gwta, the Tailless Black Sow!
We’re excited to share our fancy dress corner celebrating Andrew’s dazzling world of costume and transformation, inspired by the Alternative Miss World and the outfits on display in the museum.
Families can collect a History of Hwyl or Halloween Activity Booklet, take part in creative challenges, and don’t forget to grab your Wales History Trails Passport stamp while you’re here!
The Welsh Museums Festival runs across Wales from 25 October to 2 November 2025. Visit museumsfestival.wales to see all the events taking place!
